If you are a Korean, some Middle East National, Turkish, Chinese, or Taiwanese for that matter, there is no greater joy in language learning than learning English. However, though everyone of us would like to go to the UK, Canada, or United States to learn their native tongue, it is quite expensive.wait.rephrase.VERY expensive. And for something that you probably won't even use in a daily basis when you get back to your country, it would be such a waste of money. That is why recently, Cebu has been a viable destination for foreign nationals to learn English.
Located just a maximum of 8 hours away from the farthest of Asian Countries, and around 2 hours from nearer Asian Neighbors, Cebu is slowly becoming an international hub in Asia for learning English as a Second Language(ESL). Frankly speaking, though everyone understands English in Cebu, not a lot could speak it fluently or in an "American way". Let's face it, the Indians have better Grammar skills than us. Nevertheless, even though this is a limitation, Cebu is still the best place there is to learn English in Asia, unless of course you count Singapore, which is probably 10x more expensive-cost of living wise, and India... which i wouldn't even bother talking about.
Cebu, with all its near-the-city-beaches, low cost of living, one on one tutors, and warm filipino hospitality, is one place one can never go wrong studying English. Aside from learning English, theres cultural immersion! and getting to know Cebuano's would probably be the best decision you ever have, just because they're such wonderful people.
