taller than 10 floors around( Anyone remembers Cebu Plaza ). Compared to today, where urbanization has clearly caught up, there are more goods being shipped in, cars are lining up the streets like ants,  and buildings are now slowly rising and dominating our once virgin skylines.

Cebu has really gotten to where it wants to be right now- a time of golden opportunity.  An opporutnity that is not only being seen by the public sector, the government, but also the private enterprises that is now looking to cash in on the BPO money and OFW remitancess (We're talking about billions of dollars coming in).    Local developers such as Aboitiz, Landmaster, Gaisano, Innoland, and Primary are quickly putting up buildings here and there trying as much as possible to use their "local" advantage and to get as much market as they can. Not to be outdone though Manila based developers such as  Ayala, Robinsons, Filinvest, Megaworld and SM  are slowly building their ground and is playing catch up with their huge huge projects like Cebu Business Park (Ayala),  Robinsons Galleria, Citta De Mare (Filinvest), Mactan Newton (Megaworld), and SM Seaside City SRP. 

Hopefully, admist all these projects and fast track developments, Cebu could still keep its provincial charm and be more of a "liveable" city and not just another urban jungle. 

Anyways, ive always been a big fan of Skyscrapercity.com. Its a site that tracks building devleopment around most cities in the world. Cebu has an active SSC( skyscrapercity cebu) community, which documents and talks about all these major devleopments. They're a great community that has never failed to not document any building that pops out in Cebu.  Yes, thats how active they are.
